About
Thoughtful design through material, form, and process.
Arran Evans is a designer and consultant, based in London, with more than a decade of experience across Industrial Design and Fashion. She founded the accessories label Arran Frances in 2014, creating collections that combined craftsmanship, ethical production, and a modern, understated aesthetic.
While the label is no longer trading, its spirit continues through her independent practice, which brings the same values of simplicity, integrity, and collaboration to a range of design projects.
Grounded in a background in Product Design, Arran’s work explores how design, materials, and technology can intersect to create objects with clarity and purpose. She is particularly interested in how emerging tools — from digital craft to artificial intelligence — can expand creativity while preserving the intuition and making that sit at the heart of good design.
Arran —
Good design is honest.
I strive for honesty in every project, whether that means allowing a material’s inherent qualities to guide the outcome, or using a manufacturing process to create something unique.
Often, keeping things simple and not forcing a product to be something it’s not leads to the most beautiful results.
